After fleeing Uganda, Dabule gave his wife, Jane Kogere Wiltshire, power of attorney to manage his assets. Jane subsequently reported the duplicate title lost, obtained a special certificate, and registered herself as owner. Upon Jane’s passing, Patrick, her son, claimed the land as part of her estate. The High Court and Court of Appeal held that Jane’s registration was  an error, and she held the property as a trustee for Dabule. The Supreme Court affirmed this, concluding that Jane’s registration did not establish her ownership and that her statutory declaration, acknowledging Dabule as the true proprietor, reinforced her role as trustee. The Court dismissed Patrick’s appeal, upholding Dabule’s exclusive rights to the property as it was never part of Jane’s estate. ###### Order __ ##### Ask AI Ask questions and understand this document faster using AI. __Ask AI * * * Skip to document content **Loading PDF...** This document is 12.4 MB.
